Tiger Number increased in Bardia National Park

Bardia National Park is one of the best habitat of Royal Bengla Tiger where the number of tiger increased dramatically. As per latest survey there are total 50 adult tigers 6 teen tiger and 25 cubs which make the total number 81.

Survey was done 3 years before where the number of tiger was only 50. The survey report was released today by Chief District Officer Bishnu Bahadur Thapa.

Elephant Breeding Center

Elephant is breeding center are chained and they are not given freedom where electric they are kept in small section. Elephant are forced to work for the government purpose like patrolling national park, carrying woods and other many works. Male elephant form the national park comes in the breeding center to impregnate the female elephant. They are chained so they can’t move during this act.

Elephant Bathing

Elephant bathing are done in the bank of Rapti River daily to entertain guest. People used to sit in the back of the elephant where elephant are forced to spray water by the trunk for the people who are sitting in back of it which are repeated frequently. Elephant looks very distressed during this act. If the elephant didn’t perform the act according to the wish of mahout than they are beaten brutally by rod in the head.

The work of Shuklaphanta Swamp Deer relocating to Bardia has been started from Sunday however they are not getting success to catch anyone. As decision of Ministry of Forest and Soil Conservation on October this year 5 male & 5 female are going to shifted from Shuklaphanta to Bardia which might takes a week.

6 elephant and 40 crew member are mobilized to capture Swamp deer. Net and dart technique are used to capture Reindeer. There are already 100 Swamp deer in Bardia however their number could not increased so this relocation decision  is taken. Relocated Swamp deer will be mixed with the remaining group in Bardia.

Relocation is taken as the preservation of wildlife, if some flue goes viral in wild animal than other location animal will be saved so this is a act of preservation as per government official. As per last year census there are approx 2300 Swamp deer in Shuklaphant Wildlife Reserve.

Shifted Rhino from Chitwan National Park to Babai Valley, Bardia National Park gives birth to male calf today. Rhino has been shifted in late February. Id no 21010 is the rhino which gives birth of male baby rhino. Both mother rhino and the newly born baby rhino are in good health as per Assistance Warden Ashok Bhandari. To increase the number of rhino in Bardia, five rhino has been shifted in Babai Valley.

Summer

Monsoon

Nepal today celebrates 4th 0 poaching year since 2011- Wildlife Safari Bardia

Nepal today celebrates 4th 0 poaching year since 2011. The last date was May 2nd 2014 last rhino has poached. Team works of Park Authorities, Nepal Police, Nepal Army, local communities, Conservation Partners hands are behind this success.

This is the first time Nepal has achieved two consecutive years of Zero poaching year of One- horn Rhino, now the total population of rhino is the Himalayan country is 645 which is the record itself.
